Ariela and Shadi

So you've all seen Shadi before! But this time we brought Ariela along. She is super talented by the way, and won the Concerto Competition at Interlochen this year. Anyway, this was an even colder day than all the others that I've blogged so far. It's kind of hard to avoid the cold when you go to school in northern Michigan.

Shadi, Ariela, and I dragged a bucket full of warm water from our dorm to the woods in order to do this first shot with water dripping down Shadi's face (still one of my favorites to this day). We also used it in the shot with Ariela laying down. The warm water was a relief for them from the cold at first, but after it just made it even colder! These girls were awesome.

Mia is a Ball of Sunshine

Mia was also a trooper! Actually, all my models are. But it was even more cold when we took these. I was really happy with them. I love how you can see Mia's cheerful personality, even i. pictures :) She is seriously a ray of sunshine.

I cut out all that confetti too! Haha if you can't tell already, I cut out a lot of things for my photos... you'll see more later that involve me wasting trees.

So the next shoot I did, Dani was a real trooper. It was freezing out but she was patient with me and posed for over an hour. There's something about dancers that I really like in photos. Updating my blog kind of makes me miss Interlochen cause I see all the places I first shot, and the people who first helped me get started.

P.S. I cut out ALL those stars and little dancers, blew up the balloons, and decorated the box. Twas a LOT of effort, and now that I look back I don't really like them.

Caleb, Haley, & Amanda

These are photos of the people I shot with after I did my first "shoot" with Shadi. I don't know how I feel about them, but they were definitely a milestone in my photography "journey," for lack of a better word.
